Crown offer no evidence in Attempted Rape and Sexual Assault case
Samir Pasha’s client had £63,000 cash seized by the National Crime Agency (NCA) in April 2025 at Luton Airport under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA), whilst about to board a flight to Albania.
The cash was subject to a detention order under s295 POCA 2002 by Uxbridge Magistrates Court.
Samir provided robust advice and meticulous written representations, including financial analysis, source of funds and evidential trail, to the NCA investigation team to demonstrate the funds were legitimate and not derived from or for the use of criminal activity.
After almost a year of ongoing written representations and advising, the NCA decided to return the seized cash to Samir’s client.
