Crime News – Prosecution offers no evidence

Samir Pasha’s client was charged with Count 1 – Possession of Imitation Firearm with Intention to cause fear of violence, and Count 2- Possession of Imitation Firearm in a public place.

The client, an international masters student, was accused of using an imitation firearm in a hotel room against a hotel staff member.

However, earlier today at Stoke on Trent Crown Court during the PTPH stage, the Prosecution offered no evidence against Count 1.

A trial will still be pursued in relation to Count 2 – possession of imitation firearm in a public place.

Samir’s client and family were hugely relieved, as if he had been convicted of Count 1, he may have been potentially facing up to 4 years prison sentence.

Earlier in the week, Samir secured bail for the client who had been remanded in custody for over a month.

The client’s representation continues with Samir and is instructed by  Antonia Kim Charles of  MTC Solicitors
