Prosecution offers no evidence in child abduction case
In less than 2 hours deliberation, a jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court, returned a unanimous verdict of Not Guilty for Samir’s client who was charged with conspiracy to supply 51kg of cocaine.
The case concerned Samir’s client being seen on cell site movements at a barn location where later that night a lorry from Germany arrived containing 51kg of cocaine concealed in the fuel tank. Samir’s client was arrested at the barn where the lorry had arrived.
Police had been keeping the location under surveillance and the Crown presented cellsite, ANPR, surveillance notes, and call data records in the trial to try and demonstrate that Samir’s client had knowledge of the conspiracy.
After 6 days of trial, the jury returned the unanimous verdict, fully acquitting him off the charge
